Day one (Emergency Paediatric First Aid)

  • Role and responsibilities of paediatric first aider
  • Incident and casualty assessment
  • CPR and AED
  • Unconscious casualty
  • Choking casualty
  • Shock
  • External bleeding
  • Minor injuries and bites and stings

Day one will have an Assessment and Test Paper

Day Two

  • Fractures
  • Head, neck and back injuries
  • Eyes, ears and nose conditions
  • Chronic medical conditions or sudden illness
  • Diabetes
  • Asthma
  • Meningitis
  • Febrile convulsions
  • Body temperature
  • Electric shock
  • Burns and scalds
  • Poisonous substances
  • Allergic reaction inc anaphylaxis

Ditcheat is a village and civil parish 4.5 miles (7 km) south of Shepton Mallet, and 2.5 miles (4 km) north-west of Castle Cary, in the Mendip district of Somerset, England. The parish of Ditcheat incorporates three hamlets: Wraxall, Alhampton and Sutton.

In the Domesday book of 1086, Ditcheat belonged to Glastonbury Abbey and contained 36 families.[2] The parish of Ditcheat was part of the Whitstone Hundred.[3]
