Mappowder is a village and civil parish in the county of Dorset in southern England. It lies within the North Dorset administrative district, approximately 9 miles (14 km) south-east of the town of Sherborne. The parish covers about 1,900 acres (770 ha) at an altitude of 75 to 160 metres (246 to 525 ft).
