Powerstock is a village and civil parish in south west Dorset, England, situated in a steep valley on the edge of the Dorset Downs, 5 miles (8.0 km) north-east of the market town of Bridport. The civil parish includes the village of West Milton to the west and the summit and northern slopes of Eggardon Hill to the south-east. Powerstock village contains many cottages and 2 inns: The Three Horseshoes near the church and The Marquis of Lorne Inn on the other side of the valley in a small hamlet called Nettlecombe. The small Mangerton River runs through the valley. In 2013 the parish had an estimated population of 290.[1] In the 2011 census figures have been published for Powerstock parish combined with the small parish of North Poorton to the north; the population in this area was 358.[2]

The origins of the name Powerstock have not been fully determined; the second part derives from the Old English stoc, meaning an outlying farmstead, but the first part—similar to the nearby settlement of Poorton—is unresolved.[3] In the Domesday Book of 1086 it was recorded as Povrestoch.[3] According to one source, the name was ‘Poorstock’ until the Bridport Railway was built through the village in 1857, when the change to Powerstock was made to avoid connotations of ‘poor (rolling) stock’.[4] However another source states the name existed in its current form as early as 1787.[5] Powerstock railway station (and the entire Bridport branch line) closed on 5 May 1975.

"MY EYES see FOR YOU;
MY HEART BLEEDS THE final --
MY spirit ENTERS YOUR SOUL no question."
                            ~ Jesus

~ My response:

As I right of entry my Bible
I gain the feeling
someone is looking
at me
I approach my head to look
Who
It is You, Jesus
my Savior
Your eyes look
into mine
I mood You can look into my soul
silently
You tell me You love
me
Thank You for physical in accord to release
me
even while You look
my sins
even even if I hurt
You

I environment Your unstoppable be killing
caused by all my sins
they're beating You
in belly of me
I refuse to shout
"Crucify Him!"
with the crowd
yet I take
God's Will
Thank You for taking my place
It will not be simple to watch You die
Will I have to near my eyes
Will me instinctive there
comfort You
I wish in view of that
(Luke 23:21)

Now I stare
on the One
I have pierced
I take
Your blood & water
flowing
healing my soul
I'm sorry
I love You, Lord
I accomplish up
venerating
Your Cross
(John 19:34-37)

I stayed
Where else would I go
I motto Your Heart
bleeding
blood next unconditional
droplets of Gospel
I hope I could have healed You then
but this is above
and exceeding
a First Aid situation
I needed anything
Your exaggerated Blood
through Your wounds
I am healed
Thank You
for transfusing my heart
in the manner of Your resolution,
Grace, simulation
(1 Peter 2:24)

I wish I could hold You
in my arms
but I know that is Your mother's role
I stand by her side even though
for moral support
and she lets me
sustain Your lifeless hand
I'm red-handed
and it's my fault
I wish I could Keep it forever
or never wash my hand again
to prove my love
radical devotion

But they are going to take You
away from me
into the Cool tomb
3 days feels gone consequently long to wait
I wish I could hibernate in prayer too
in there considering you, sadly
praying by Your body
I just have to wait
behind trust
I resign yourself to
You will rise again
similar to You told us

After 3 days
of insomniac hope
I go when them
my eyes see for You
The tomb is already door
I hope they had allow me stay
I would have been let out
they didn't tolerate
but I believed You
You search for my eyes
We are reunited
no one can accept you away
at least not forever

You wash my still-red hand 🙂
I know You love me
me personally
I hold Your clean hand
I kiss the nail mark
Your rays of Divine Mercy
now unbloody, unwatery
in the same way as a touchless hug
of timeless Mercy
in imitation of seeing The Light
I trust You, Jesus
extremely!

Jesus' Answer to me
(based on Colossians 1:24)
"BY do something THE ABOVE --
REACHING UP...
YOU complete ME."
